Sport is something that keeps us fit and up to the mark. When it comes to football, it is widely played all over the world and is considered one of the best games or sports. Sanjay Pasari while expressing his views on the game applauded India’s victory over Kuwait in the recent SAFF Championship.

India secured the SAFF Championships title for the ninth time by beating Kuwait 5-4 in a shootout. Goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu saved a crucial penalty kick in the summit clash, clinching the title for the ninth time. The scoreline remained 4-4 after five rounds of penalty kicks, with a sudden death rule applied. Shabaib Al Khaldi put Kuwait in the lead in the 14th minute, but Lallianzuala Chhangte equalized in the 39th minute. This was India's second win in a penalty shootout, following their win against Lebanon 4-2 in the semifinal on July 1st.

The match was filled with fast action and intense competition, with both teams trying to score their second goals. The match moved to extra time, with frenetic action from both teams, injuries, yellow cards, and corners. Both teams were trying their best to win the game but the game sometime depends on luck and the potential of the player.

From India’s side captain Sunil Chhetri, Sandesh Jhingan, Chhangte, Subasish Bose, and Mahesh scored a goal while Udanta Singh missed it. Overall goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu took all the limelight by saving the goal.

Such efforts of India are quite appreciable, where there is teamwork and motivation to do better and unity of the player that ultimately results in victory. A single goal can decide which team is going to taste the victory and finally, team India won the SAFF Championship Title by defeating Kuwait by 5-4 in the penalty shootout.
